Our service
- fairfab 3D prints and manufactures parts from the files you supply.
- Quotes are calculated automatically from the geometry and settings you provide. Quotes and print outcomes depend on those inputs. Some files need a manual quote, which we'll send by email.
- We may decline any order, including files we cannot print reliably, items that are unlawful or infringe someone else's rights, and weapons or weapon parts.
Your files
- You are responsible for ensuring uploaded files are correctly prepared, printable, scaled, oriented as intended, and suitable for the selected process, material, and settings.
- You must have the right to upload and manufacture the submitted file.
- Orders are produced from the uploaded file and selected print settings.
- fairfab is not responsible for defects caused by unsuitable, incomplete, non-manifold, incorrectly scaled, poorly oriented, or otherwise problematic customer files.
- We use your files only to quote and make your order, and delete them as described in our privacy policy.
Prices, payment and your order
- Prices are in pounds sterling and are shown in full, including any delivery charge, before you pay. The minimum printed-item subtotal per checkout is £30.00, or £75.00 with 24-hour turnaround.
- Payment is taken by Stripe when you check out.
- Your order is accepted when we confirm it. If we can't make your order, we'll cancel it and refund you in full.
Production and quality
- 3D printing carries inherent risks including warping, shrinkage, layer lines, support marks, surface variation, dimensional tolerance variation, failed prints, material behaviour, and other manufacturing defects.
- fairfab may make reasonable production adjustments such as orientation, supports, brim or raft, slicer settings, or minor preparation necessary for printing. This does not constitute design verification.
- Failed prints may require reprinting, manual review, or cancellation/refund at fairfab's discretion, depending on cause and feasibility.
Pickup and delivery
- Lead times are estimates and may be affected by print failures, machine availability, material availability, quality control, or delivery/pickup timing.
- Turnaround time is production/processing time only and does not include Royal Mail shipping or transit time.
- Pickup is free from our workshop at 10–16 Ashwin Street, Dalston, London, E8 3DL. We'll email you when your order is ready.
- Delivery is available to UK addresses by Royal Mail. Your order is your responsibility once it has been delivered or collected.
Cancellations and refunds
- Because every order is made to your specification from your own file, the 14-day cancellation period that applies to many online purchases does not apply (Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013, regulation 28(1)(b)). You can still cancel for a full refund before production starts — email us as soon as possible.
- This does not affect your legal rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015. If your order is faulty, damaged, or not as described, contact us within 30 days of receiving it and we'll reprint it or refund you.
Liability
- Nothing in these terms limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot be limited by law.
- We are not responsible for losses that were not foreseeable when you placed your order. If you are buying for a business, our total liability for an order is limited to the price you paid for it.
General
- These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales. If you are a consumer living in Scotland or Northern Ireland, you can also bring proceedings in your local courts.
- We may update these terms; the version shown when you place an order applies to that order.
- Questions or problems? Email orders@fairfab.org.
